Assistant/Associate, Quality Management Systems

Monsanto, an Ag industry
leader creating scientific breakthroughs around the world,
currently has an exciting opportunity in Huxley, Iowa for a
Research Assistant/Associate to provide daily support to the
Soybean Breeding QMS Supervisor and the Soybean Breeding
Program's Site Responsible Researchers. The focus of this
job will be to help the Site Responsible Researchers maintain
compliance with Governmental and Company requirements regarding
the proper stewardship of regulated materials.
Responsibilities:

Identify areas of improvement
and devise and implement subsequent solutions.

Influence the team to embrace
the organization’s vision/decisions.
-
Build relationships to
accomplish organizational goals while interacting positively
and effectively.
-
Develop, maintain and
continually improve controlled and referenced QMS
documentation (e.g., procedures, work instructions, training
materials).
-
Ensure program adherence to
the requirements of the Governmental and Company
requirements through auditing.
-
Ensure all supporting
documentation is completed and contains all required
information.

Participate in Incident
Investigations.

Identify and participate in
continual improvement projects (Lean/Six Sigma).
-
Assist with Quality Management
System issues and requests.
-
Moderate travel (~25% of time)
required within North and South America. Must have passport
or ability to obtain one.
Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s degree or higher in
Agronomy, Ag Business, Business Management, Project
Management or a similar area with 3 or more years of
agricultural research experience.
-
2 or more years of experience
working with regulated materials in accordance with USDA,
CFIA, EPA or other regulatory body requirements.
-
Functional and technical
proficiency in crop (preferably soybean) breeding
methodologies, experimental field plot and nursery
management and soy agronomic practices is desirable.

Proficiency in Microsoft
Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.) and the ability to
work with customized software programs.
