Assistant

Monsanto, an Ag industry
leader creating scientific breakthroughs around the world,
currently has an exciting opportunity in Hartsville, South
Carolina for a Research Assistant.
Responsibilities:
-
Perform fieldwork such as
planting, thinning, harvesting and ginning of cotton.
-
Assist in cotton seed packing
and shipments.
-
Establishment, maintenance,
data collection and harvest of replicated tests around the
Hartsville area.
-
Operation and maintenance of
all field equipment used in plot work.
-
Serve as liaison with
cooperators.
-
Coordinate management of field
tests with the farm management personnel.
-
Assist in all phases of data
collection including ginning and data input into databases.
-
Assist in other phases of the
Trait Development projects as needed.
-
Provide a lead for safety with
regard to all aspects of Trait Development projects.
Requirements:
-
BS in a related field with
work experience in field crops research.
-
Ability to work independently.
-
Individual must conduct self
and work in a highly ethical manner with a can-do attitude.
-
Ability to interact with key
internal personnel within Monsanto.
-
Proficiency in Microsoft
Office, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
